Supplying data
CCR came into effect on 12 March 2014 in Australia and allows credit providers to share 5 additional data points for each customer:
- Date account opened
- Type of credit
- Date account closed
- Available credit limit
- Monthly replayment history for the last 24 months
Sharing of repayment history information is permitted for credit licensees only as defined by the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009. For now, telecommunications and utilities may not share or use repayment history information.
